So here I am at home in the Lost Pines of Bastrop trapped in my house by thousands of cyclists streaming by on HWY 71 at the end of my street. They are also clogging up my one alternate route.

I understand that this is a good cause but a little courtesy to the residents and their vehicles would be appreciated. I took nearly a half hour to drive six miles. The sheriff's deputies were completely unhelpful and the cyclists are oblivious to the drivers. And they wonder why they have accidents!

Don't get me wrong - I fully support their cause. All I would like is a little more coordination on the part of authorities to manage the traffic flow a little better.
